As you all have probably noticed, this group hasen't been updated in like 2 months now. The reason is that I really had a busy time this last few months and therefor I didn't have much time to spend on dA.
Now that my time is slowly returning to me I got to wondering what to do with the group. Since all staff members seem to be having the same problem (or just plain lack of interest).

Now I want to know what you think: I can put some effort into recruiting new members and pumping the group back into activity. But I don't know how many people still visit here and how many of you would like to help out. So is it worth the energy?

What I ask of you is to answer to the poll I'm making in a minute. Depending on that outcome I'll decide if I go on running this group or maybe let it die

I'd like to think there is still enough people around to run this thing, and this trully was an amazing group and I'll take the blame if it doesn't work out anymore, but now I want to know what you think.

Ok, first of all: I'm back, and I'm sorry for the long delay. (It took me much longer than expected)
I had announced to be away for about 2 weeks, which turned out to be almost 4 months. So, here are my sincere appoligies.

Having said that, there is another important announcement I have to make:
TerraGeneration is recruiting staff members!
A lot of the staff that used to be on here doesn't have enough time to check in regularly or has left completely, so we're looking for additions to our team.

The following positions are open:

News Hound (1)
As a news hound you will be in charge of the look of our journal. You'll write the contents and search for interesting news/facts about Terragen. Knowledge of CSS is a plus.

Staffers (3)
Staffers are the core of our group. Staffers will handle join applications as well as upload art submissions to the group gallery.

Artpack Manager (1)
The Artpack Manager will handle the artpacks. (I will also do this, so you will be working with me, don't let that scare you ) They will think up theme's and make compilations of all the entries.

Applying
If you're interested in helping this fine community get back on it's feet and willing to do some work for the group. Then we would like to hear from you! Send a note to *TerraGeneration with the subject 'staff positions'. Make clear in the note what position you would like to fill and why you think you're the right person for the job. (But don't make it too long )

So, I was just wondering, who's planning on entering in the artpack. Have any partnerships been made at all? Please let me know if you're still interested


Terrageneration is proud to present their sixth artpack: Collaboration. "One can make the world work on his own, but together we can build a world worth living in." Find a partner and start rendering.

Artpack Guidelines:

1) For this artpack, as the name suggest, you will have to team up with other TG members to form a group to make so called 'Collaborations'.

2) Groups are made out of 2 or 3 deviants.

3) There is a limit to one submission per group.

4) It is allowed to be in more than 1 group, with a limit of 3 groups per person.

5) All images must have a Terragen render as their base.

6) Minor post work is allowed. Its ok to fix contrast, color balance, sharpening, and similar adjustments. No cloud stock though, we want to see your skills with atmospheres.

8) Each submission must be a new deviation, which means no preexisting renders.

9) Please put your names on your pieces as well, but please very subtly, it will not be submitted without a name!

7) Deadline for entries is going to be the 31th of January.

8) Note us (all notes must have the subject line "collaboration artpack") with a link to the image for it to be uploaded to the group gallery.

How to find a partner:
Here are a few ways to find a partner to work with:
You can send a note to *TerraGeneration with subject line "artpack partners" and state in that note what you think you are good at (for example terrains, atmosphere, point-of-view, post work, etc.)
I will then put your name in this journal so other members searching for a partner can see you are also looking for a partner.

As you can see the subscription to TerraGeneration has disappeared, and unfortunatly since the leaving of our founding member in areas of the club, it seems that we won't be having it again anytime soon, so we're gonna have to do without HTML and CSS journals I'm afraid.

Some serious matters now, asking what you belief to the suggestion of the Artpack: Collaboration

The idea is that you have to collaborate with a different deviant to enter into the artpack, now it's your say in that area. What do you want? What do you think?
